I will get to less mundane things soon… but for now, what is going on this weekend? My plate is VERY full… which I love. There is always something to do in the area… soooo, for my plans this weekend in no particular order (please no stalking lol):
Saturday my parents, my brother and his wife, and me and my friend Maureen are going to Huber’s for my father’s company picnic. I love Huber’s… have to make it a point to go there every year!
From Sept 24 to Oct 4 Rocky Horror Show is at the Henry Clay. This is not what you think it is. This is the theatrical, live version of it. We have all seen the movie, but who of us has seen the theatrical version? This has me SO stoked… $17 day of show, $15 in advance. It is put on Pandora Productions… got to check this out!
We are planning on hitting up the Old Seelbach Bar. My friend Maureen has not been to very many places around here, and I am sure a lot of my long time friends have never been here. It is a step back in time… we don’t plan on drinking a lot or having a crazy time. This will be a nice place to listen to some nice jazz and sip some bourbon.
Two more things on the possible agenda…yeah, we always have a very busy weekend…
This one may or may not go down; The Bluegrass Balloon Festival at Bowman Field. The weather is not cooperating much today, but we will see how it goes the rest of the day. A little mud never hurt anyone!
And after Huber’s we may go to the Nulu Festival. This is the closing event of the Idea Festival. Local restaurants will be on hand, BBC will have the beer flowing, and there are a handful of bands playing. It is from 5 til 11 Saturday on East Market…
Wooo… what a busy weekend, but I love it. No more tired, boring nights out to Bardstown Road getting drunk and spending too much money. I think most of these things may actually enrich my life instead of killing my liver.
